The Northwest Nerd and Southern Belle are excited to announce the release of our new podcast! We met long, long ago working on a state-wide political campaign in the great state of Oklahoma (the Belle’s home state!), but parted ways after a heartbreaking loss. The Nerd moved home to Seattle and the Belle finished college in Texas. Marriage, kids, and life happened until our path converged once again when the Belle threw out the idea for a podcast. 

We have a lot to catch up on! 20 years of stories, habits, opinions, and preferences formed, but a constant remained: we still really like each other. We missed out on the middle and The Northwest Nerd & Southern Belle Podcast is going to fill in all the gaps. We have been influenced by different cultural values and examining, making jokes, and finding common ground within the differences makes for a good show. We want our listeners to know why the Nerd hates styrofoam and why the Belle swears by it or how to properly dress for a football game if you live in the North or the South. We want to prove deep friendship can exist despite differences.
